lol we begged Andrey Taran to grow a mustache for the promo shoot so that he could get used to Ivan Dorn's vibe. we randomly notice their physical resemblance and decided to use it for the video. and to make Andrey feel free and elegant,
he was preparing to the role like a real actor by growing a mustache...step by step...
thank you sir. we all miss your mustache and never forget.
and yeah, he shaved it right after the shooting and never keep
the mustache after that.
it was very funny process to shot this video.
there was a lot of smiles and laughs.
the boys' task was to act with kind naivety in their gaze
and movements in all seriousness, but it made everyone laugh more. there was more than one take on my small camera hahah
and im glad that this postcard gave bunch of people on the social media smiles and christmas mood.
produced by andrey taran,
daniil prasolov, ilya sheyman AND ME
design,
animation,
christmas-postcard video
and some creative direction: me
Andrey Taran
Daniil Prasolov
Ilya Sheyman
and me
we allowed ourselves to make mistakes
and instead of starting drama we were learning our mistakes and keep having fun.
because... why not?
we were just newbies ^_^
and yeah idk how the fate of the scarves that didn't sell out (there were a lot) turned out
but i know one thing for sure: all people from
the team had to do this project for developing creative skills and mindset. each of us has come closer to what is really needed because we allowed to take the risk and just do and create.
thank you for believing in me and trusting
my vision.
it was so much fun to share this creative process with you all.
i want to say thank you to the infinity
to Andrey, Danya and Ilya
i started my art life with
another name i was using since 2016 - Moshya (МОШЯ)
(its the combination of my name Masha and name
of my spiritual brother Mosya)
after years from 2021 i started to use Bibibakha's name to save my legacy
i love hearing some people still call me Moshya
and im glad that this name was saved
in our collabration with Buterboard x Kolya
on the physical design product
and yes
it was the first physical item that i designed
and i have a very special place in my heart for it.
i didnt feel reality on 100% when it was all happeping because of the stress that caused death of my father months earlier before the scarf) project and i felt very disconnected from the world on that time. but now i see that it was actually a blessing.
i was gifted with this opportunity to make something real to not stop of creating. the process of creating kept me sane and didnt let me lose myself in fear and denial of life.
and i love how my brain hurts
when i sculpt the action frame by frame
i love hand drawing animation
once again
i'll show you this animation from the start of this page
final version of scarf) design
before sending it
to the production
....and now this is final of this story from my perspective.
i love stickers
sadly i forgot
to take some
for myself
some sketches of unreleased ideas and details from the process:
it was a perfect creative process:
we shared ideas and passion to create it.
we didnt know how to sell, how to manage our work time.
because we didnt feel that it was work. it was our life.
we tried to do our best.
there were a lot of ideas for promoting the scrarves) but unfortunately we couldn't do everything in time, because ideas began to come in my mind already during the scarf promo and we just didn't have the opportunity to create everything in the shortest possible time.
but we all were newbies! and thats ok!
promo videos
made by Daniil Prasolov (he also made sounds for them)
